but plate is too small an object to capture all of the topics, activities and goals that span my ever scattered interest. I’m getting my responsibilities and hobbies mixed up. All of them are things I want to do, because I enjoy doing them, but I’ve got too many right now, and the only ones I REALLY want to do are not the ones that would benefit my “career”
Of course I’m way into InfoArch, still into weird science, consciousness, and web tech/trends. Then there’s the Douglas Coupland book I just got Jpod, that I may not get to open for some time. I’ve just recently opened Virginia Tufte’s Artful Sentences, to compete with Bell Hooks’ All About Love, Eco’s Mysterious Flame, 327 undigested SIG-IA digests, 54 Google Alerts, and 1143 rss feeds.
When will I have time to write, sleep, eat or do any of these things?
Hi Rick:
Did you get my postcard from Las Vegas yet? What a trip that was! Flying over the rim of the grand canyon in a helicopter was a real thrill.
I don’t think I could live in that climate – too hot, too dry, not enough plants.
Kathy
Hi Rick,
Saw your blog addie posted at the bottom of your email. Thought I’d check it out. Read a couple of Coupland’s books, “Life After God” and “Generation X”, which surprisingly I loved. It was the scene with his dog, whom he imagines would emerge from scrounging in the dumpster of a plastic surgery office, a lump of lipo on his nose — fish-like, that pulled me in!
My blog is fairly unused except by dancers and artists who never leave messages, but always tell me by email or phone that they lifted info from it — go figure. Here it is: http://heyimei.spaces.live.com/PersonalSpace
